OVERVIEW

  • Embark on a guided tour of the most spectacular slot canyon in the world with the infamous sunbeams.
  • Upper Antelope Canyon is where you can catch those world-famous sunbeams during this peak hour tour. The canyon is above ground and is an easy 100 yard walk. The tour includes a two-mile ride down an unpaved dirt road in the back of a open seated safari like 4x4 truck. Your Navajo guide will lead you into the depths of this slot canyon and tell stories and legends about the area. Guests will have plenty of opportunity to recreate famous photos of Antelope Canyon. Upon exiting the Canyon, you will hike on an incline up and around the top of the Canyon and descend 150 steps staircase back to the vehicle drop-off point.

THINGS TO KNOW

WHAT TO EXPECT FOR UPPER ANTELOPE CANYON:

  • Pickup is at least 1 hour before your selected tour time
  • Check-in on-site at least 45 minutes before your selected tour time
  • Load onto the 4x4 trucks 15 minutes before your selected tour time
  • Arrive to the canyon by your tour time and explore for nearly an hour
  • The Upper Antelope Canyon hike is approximately 1/4 mile and is now a one way traffic through the canyon
  • Upon exiting the canyon, you will hike on an incline up and around the top of the Canyon and descend 150 steps staircase back to the 4x4 trucks
  • Load back onto the 4x4 trucks and return to our van
  • Stop at Big Lake Trading Post for snacks, souvenirs and restrooms

We follow Mountain Standard Time (MST) or Arizona Standard Time (AZST). We follow the same time as the City of Page, Flagstaff, Grand Canyon, Sedona, Phoenix, and Las Vegas. After departing Flagstaff or Grand Canyon you will drive though the Navajo Nation which observes Daylight Savings Time, and all electronic devices will move 1 hour ahead. If departing from Las Vegas, you will drive through Utah State, which also observes Daylight Savings Time. Your time will change back to Mountain Standard once you cross the Stateline back into Arizona.

We recommend bringing the following items with you on your visit:

  • Cameras are welcome but please be advised that sand enters thecanyon in all directions, so photographers please bring a cover orplastic shower cap for your camera
  • A water bottle and sunscreen
  • Close-toed shoes are required so recommend wearing suitablewalking/hiking shoes
  • Warm clothing for winter months, temperatures are cooler in thecanyons
  • Carseats are required for children 5 and under. Visitors arerequired to provide their own car or booster seat for roundtriptransportation
  • You are welcome to bring a child wrap/sling/backpack-carrier for your child. For toddlers 2 years old and younger, we ask they be placed in a hiking backpack.
  • The Lower Antelope has a strict bag policy set in place. Only clear stadium approved bags are allowed on tour. If you do not have a clear bag, we will provide you with a temporary clear approved bag to borrow. Medical bags are the exception to this rule. You may have a small bag with only your medical essentials and supplies in the bag only and notify the check-in staff of your medical bag.
  • Upper Antelope is not as strict as and will allow 1 bag per family. However, their tour guides will inspect the contents of your bag and water bottles.
